Organ Humanization Research Group
Using genetic engineering and somatic cell cloning techniques, the organ humanization research group established and analyzed the miniature pig model that could be used for organ transplantation, so as to solve the possible immune rejection reaction, coagulation disorder inflammatory reaction and potential biological safety problems caused by donor animals. Based on the existing models, the neoantigens causing immune rejection after xenotransplantation were screened to optimize the gene modification of donor animals.
PDX Model Transformation Research Group
The mission of the PDX model transformation research group is the establishment and preclinical application of the PDX (human tumor xenotransplantation) model. At present, the research group has 3 staff members (1 deputy senior, 1 intermediate and 1 junior). Research group has undertaken many research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 863 major special projects, Natural Science Foundation of Beijing, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Medicine and Health Science and Technology Innovation Project, basic scientific research business expenses of Central Public Welfare Scientific Research Institute. Research results are published in Molecular Immunology, Cellular Signalling, FEBS Letters and the like. They applied 2 patents, one of which has been authorized.
Stem Cell Transformation Research Group
The stem cell transformation research group is committed to stem cell research and treatment of major systemic diseases such as nerves, blood and cardiovascular diseases, and provides basic data and program support for the transformation of stem cell research results to clinical applications. Group has undertaken many research projects, including the surface fund and youth fund of National Natural Science Foundation of China, point fund and surface fund of Beijing Natural Science Foundation and new teachers foundation of Doctoral Fund of Ministry of Education of China, Medical and Health Science and Technology Innovation Project of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Central Public-interest Scientific Institution Basal Research Fund, etc. Research results published in cell research, Cell Death and Diseases, Experimental Cell Research and Journal of Cellular Biochemistry and so on.
Microecological Transformation Research group
Using sterile animals as the carrier, the research group studied the relationship among neurodegenerative diseases, cardiovascular diseases and intestinal flora, as well as the relationship between intestinal fungi and diseases.
