主要致力于人类病原体的感染与免疫学机制研究。建立了多个人类感染性疾病的动物模型,并从天然免疫受体、信号通路和细胞免疫等方面揭示了病原体在人类疾病模型中的致病机理,涉及:Toll样受体、IL-7和IL-17信号通路、mTOR信号通路、肠道微生物和中枢神经系统疾病等。以通讯作者或第一作者在PNAS、Gut Microbe、Journal of Immunology、Cell Reports、Cell Research、STTT和Gastroenterology等杂志发表SCI引用研究论文15篇,译著2部。获得了2个国家自然基金面上项目的资助。为《中国医药导报》和《中国医药生物技术》杂志编委、中国免疫学学会基础免疫分会委员、多个英文杂志的审稿人、国家卫健委“第三届国家人间传染的病原微生物实验室生物安全评审专家委员会委员”。曾获得了国家科技部“全国科技系统抗击新冠肺炎疫情先进个人”称号。
