The institute has undertaken and completed more than 100 research projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, National 863 annd National 973 projects, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Health, Beijing and the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, with more than 500 scientific and technological papers, more than 30 scientific and technological awards and more than 10 invention patents.

In recent years, we have devoted ourselves to the research of alzheimer's disease, neurodegenerative diseases, tumors, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and major infectious diseases. We also study on genetic composition and origin of Mice in Kunming, China, sterile rabbits and sterile guinea pigs, hepatitis E, transgenic animal model of senile dementia, research project of senile dementia vaccine, which also obtained National Scientific and Technological Achievement Award.
